Helal was tasked with updating and designing the house facades, combining new and old elements to respect the historical identity of the house, while still incorporating modern materials. Transparency and the height of the new architectural elements were crucial in the design. Inspired by the tower, he shaped the new staircases for a new extension on the ground level, using straight lines to recall the tower’s design. New glass panels and a slim steel stair structure were added to achieve transparency without interrupting the traditional brick facade.
